Hello all! 

My name is Tyler Kennedy. I am the new resident barista nerd here at Kamiak Coffee Company. I grew up in Sandpoint, ID and moved to Moscow for college. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a general studies degree as well as minors in business and psychology. 

While I was attending the University of Idaho, I spent my time working for a local handcrafted ice cream and coffee chain, Panhandle Cone & Coffee. I was given the opportunity through this job to head up their coffee operations. 

This led me to be the go to guy when it came to training baristas, maintaining equipment, and being the general knowledge pool for anything coffee related. My time in that role, as well as my interactions with other professionals within the coffee world really helped to develop my love for specialty coffee and has pushed me to continue to pursue a career in the industry. 

Outside of my life in coffee, I like to spend my time playing guitar, writing music, exploring the outdoors, and enjoying the local food scene here in Moscow. I am very excited to bring my extensive barista knowledge and experience into Kamiak Coffee Company and looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me in the specialty coffee industry!
