Tasting Notes

Balanced and extremely approachable for a single origin. We understand many single origins can have exotic, wild tasting profiles that some love, while others loath. This Colombia strikes a perfect balance between the two - being approachable for most coffee drinkers.

You'll note strong aromatics with richness of chocolate, dried cherry, and molasses.

About the Farm

With much excitement, we are proud to announce the latest of our limited single origin releases: the Colombia Giovanni Estate.
The Colombia Giovanni is one of the more approachable offerings we've featured yet with remarkably balanced tasting notes and an incredible story behind it.

Grown in the region of Tolima, Colombia - this Fair Trade microlot coffee is produced and grown by our new friend Giovanni Portella. For years, coffee grown in the area of Tolima was cut off from international markets due to a violent, armed conflict between FARC Rebels and Colombia's central government. Up until 2016, it was nearly impossible to source coffee out of this region.

Today, we are proud to source coffee from this emerging area to not just support the farmers who invest their lives into the wild pursuit of coffee farming, but to also show the world how phenomenal coffee from this area can be.
